The present study is based on the discussion about the contribution that educational psychology has for professor preparation course in the context of the current educational policies for elementary education. The objective was to investigate how the educational psychology integrates the necessary knowledge to the professional education in the context of reform. In order to proceed the investigation, it was necessary to have, as information sources, professors who were considered active subjects of the teaching education and their intended projects. The results permitted to consider the insertion of educational psychology in the professor preparation course´s projects, having into account the complex relationship between undergraduate education knowledge, professional knowledge of the professor and the educational practices.
