Resumen

AMBIEL, Rodolfo Augusto Matteo et al. Assessment of processes in vocational and career guidance: Problems and possibilities. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2017, vol.16, n.2, pp.128-136. ISSN 1677-0471.  https://doi.org/10.15689/AP.2017.1602.02.

This report aimed to discuss the process assessment in vocational and career guidance through a synthesis of research about the topic in an international and national context. A search for scientific reports indexed in the periodic sites Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Periódicos Eletrônicos de Psicologia (PePSIC) was performed and the period from 2011 to 2015 for foreign papers was delimitated. No time limit for national papers was set. Among the articles found, six national and seven international papers were chosen; and the analysis was performed through categories according to the focus of the assessment used. Results showed that process assessment in vocational and career guidance has not been a common practice among instructors, and there is not consensus in this area about how to iniciate it. Despite the limitations, there are possibilities to perform assessments that contribute to the improvement of vocational guidance and career practices, which offer more efficient services and encourage growth in this scientific area.

Palabras clave : vocational guidance; process assessment; psychological assessment.
