Resumen

CANDIDO, Carla  y  WINOGRAD, Monah. Experience and brain complexity: amongst psychoanalysis and cognitive sciences. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.3, pp.2-15. ISSN 1806-5821.

By investigating the concepts of complexity and auto-organization we demonstrate the Freudian concept of drive to constitute a fertile tool for research on human psyche and cognition. We propose that the neurological concept of the anatomic brain must undergo a conceptual transformation in order to be conceived from the perspective of its belonging to a lived body, a body with unique experiences. We also point to the importance of embodiment, that is of assuming the body as auto-meaning, as being endowed with a unity of lived meaning. It thus introduces fertile questions to Cognitive Science. Finally, we conclude that the lived body, object of Psychoanalysis, leads us to the concept of experience, as a dimension that may act as an interdisciplinary articulation with the field of philosophy of the mind

Palabras clave : psychoanalysis; neurosciences; complexity; brain; drive.
