The present study focused narcissistic manifestations and their repercussions on adolescents' psychological structures and on their successful and unsuccessful school performance. The results indicate a narcissistic learning disorder characterized by primary process behaviors, precarious knowledge of themselves and of school experiences. They indicate also great oscillations between low and high self-esteem, difficulty to maintain organized thought and to preserve intellectual capacity apt to obtain success on social and school investments. Thus, the adolescents are caught in familiar nets, their development oscillates between childhood and adulthood, they are afraid of taking responsibilities and of pursuing their autonomy and they have deficits on establishing connections with real life and with school knowledge.
