In the film The dreamers, Bernardo Bertolucci makes use of the cinema language to narrate the group of concrete acts and psychic events, lived by the characters, in Paris, shaken by a rebellion of young peaple frustrated with social and educational structures felt as outdated. The film could be seen as a clinical illustration of the theories of some authors such as Peter Blos, Raymond Cahn, André Green, Winnicott and others. In the same way psychoanalists who work with adolescents have the opportunity to testify the psychic turmoil experienced by them in the process of identity construction and of the acquisition of the capacity of thinking as a subject freed from the parental or group identification.
