Abstract

LAMBRECHT, Marta Úrsula. Letters of youth: a master key?. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2010, vol.33, n.50, pp. 14-25. ISSN 0101-3106.

The author rescues, with a ride to a small town in eastern Mhoravia, Príbor, the house where Sigmund Freud and his family passed the first three years of his life. To the writer of the text, a key hanging on the façade of the house is a paradigm of the future life of who was the master of psychoanalysis. The childhood of little Sigmund leaves marks on the letters exchanged with a close friend, Eduard Silberstein, from 1871 to 1875. We read between the lines the range of feelings, concerns and events that accompany throughout puberty. Conjectures are woven by the author in relation to the passion and the resignation of the first great love.

Keywords : Early childhood; Sigmund Freud; Letters of youth; First great love of Freud; 117 Schlossergasse.
