Abstract

JUNQUEIRA FILHO, Luiz Carlos Uchôa. “Nymph, in thy orisons be all my sins remembered”. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2010, vol.33, n.50, pp. 78-82. ISSN 0101-3106.

Inspiring himself in a painful passage of Bion’s autobiography, his insensitiveness towards his daughter whose mother just died, the author selected and translated two letters written to his sons about 1964. In this simple and profound texts, Bion stimulates them to search a kind of knowledge through personal experience, suggesting as a model the quest for interior light shown by Milton in Lost paradise. He offers also an advice in order that they could face depression and failure as life unavoidable experiences, but, if well handled, apt to be fundamental tools to judgment and decision.

Keywords : Learning from experience; Growth; Interior light; Depression and failure.
