This paper presents the idea that the patient’s discourse in the analytic session contains verbal elements that, through the force of transference, suffer transformations such as alliterations, scansions, rhythmical effects, repetitions, among others, which provide it with a poetic structure. They are symbols which bring to presence experiences, whose understanding is an indispensable basis for the psychoanalytic interpretation.
