Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Richard de  and  FRAYZE-PEREIRA, João A.. Between the films "Black Swan" and "The Westler": doubles, allegories and the question of the death of the significance. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2015, vol.37, n.59, pp. 129-143. ISSN 0101-3106.

This paper proposes an exercise in the art of implied psychoanalysis. Its goal is to analyze the film "Black Swan", considering the process of its creation. In this sense, we were led to compare it with another aesthetic object - the movie "The Wrestler" - by the same director. From this comparison emerged some issues - the double, the strange and the allegory - that implied a reflection on the banal way of interpreting the artistic objects and on the question of the death of significance.

Keywords : Cinema; Double; Allegory; Interpretation.
