Abstract

RISSIN, Ruth. Lolita, a nowadays character. J. psicanal. [online]. 2007, vol.40, n.72, pp.135-152. ISSN 0103-5835.

This paper starts from the assumption, in psychoanalytical practice, of the high number of cases with a triangle situation similar to the central plot in Vladimir Nabokov´s Lolita. The characters of this romance are confronted to others characters, Euripedes´s Hippolytus and Racine´s Phedra. Two clinical cases presenting different points of view are studied. The first one, about an adolescent´s mother, and the second about another adolescent, both living the same situation but in theirs own ways. This paper aims to reach the comprehension of this phenomena, considering aspects of contemporary times, focusing specially family changes.

Keywords : Adolescence; Contemporary family; Lolita; Phedre; Hippolytus.
