Abstract

DIDI-HUBERMAN, Georges  and  BERLINER, Claudia. The proof by the image. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.3, pp. 137-150. ISSN 0486-641X.

The question on the argumentative efficacy of images (whether in the field of knowledge or in the field of action) is hereby answered through the notion of "proof " by the image, in other words, the concrete way which the image leads to thinking and acting. All this is underlined through the work of Bertolt Brecht, Walter Benjamin or Ernst Bloch, through the analysis of montages of images, from which a new way of thinking history is possible.

Keywords : Bertolt Brecht; Walter Benjamin; Ernst Bloch; image; montage; dialectic; disorder; history.
