Resumen

DEJOURS, Christophe  y  BERLINER, Claudia. The work between the banalization of evil and emancipation. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2013, vol.47, n.2, pp. 85-97. ISSN 0486-641X.

The article picks up on matters brought to light by Freud in "Civilization and Its Discontents", in order to gather them around the clinic of contemporary work. If work can generate the best in terms of sublimation and self-realization, it can also generate the worst: the banalization of suffering inflicted on others, which leads certain individuals to find no way out other than committing suicide at their work places. Could it be that the new methods of work organization favor consent towards practices which, on the other hand, we morally condemn?

Palabras clave : work; sublimation; ethical suffering; banality of evil; loneliness; division; moral autonomy.
