The author emphasizes the fear of fertility - a fear which arouses violence in mental and social life - by writing a psychoanalytic reflection on the issue of building sexuality and fertility, as well as on the several meanings this process may acquire in psychic life. In the genealogy of this situation of fear and violence, the author highlights in Oedipus myth Laius’ place, through which she enlightens several patients’ clinical material.
