Abstract

CHABERT, Catherine. A plural feminism: hysteria, masochism, or melancoly?.Translated byMarilei Jorge. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2019, vol.53, n.2, pp. 87-98. ISSN 0486-641X.

Feminism calls for plural representations between the maternal ideal and sexuality. It encounters singular drive destinations, which, in turn, evidence what are the associations between identifications and loss, through the traces of seduction and the characteristics of the object choices that are made. Two clinical case studies demonstrate, through the transference dynamics, the relationship between hysteria, masochism, and melancholy.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; plural feminine; hysteria; masochism; melancholy.
