Abstract

MACHADO JR, Péricles Pinheiro  and  RIBEIRO, Marina Ferreira da Rosa. The lost language of cranes. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2019, vol.53, n.3, pp. 59-74. ISSN 0486-641X.

In this essay we discuss the conception of a language of survival to designate a singular and solitary mode of communication that a person produces to cope with emotional turmoil experienced in a state of helplessness. We begin by discussing the limits of language as a paradoxically impersonal and interpersonal phenomenon that calls for a fundamental dialectic in the analytic field for the engendering of a language of recognition capable of conveying the intimacy of experience with each analysand. We propose a dialogue with the works of Christopher Bollas, Pérsio Nogueira and Thomas Ogden on the possibilities of analytical communication within the limits inherent to formulation in verbal language.

Keywords : language; communication; alterity; recognition; interpretation.
