Abstract

AMENDOEIRA, Paola. Black perspective matters - the Virgínia Leone Bicudo paradigm. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2020, vol.54, n.2, pp. 240-249. ISSN 0486-641X.

History, memory, forgetfulness, and time. We have in Virgínia Leone Bicudo an important paradigm. It is necessary to talk about trauma, about racism, and about the background and experiences of the father of Psychoanalysis. Virgínia breaks with the pathological and social pact by pioneering the undisputed perception of the existence of one specific discrimination based on a prejudice of color. It would be very interesting to bring all these readings together with Grada Quilomba, Achile Mbembe, Neusa Santos, Djamila, Akotirene, Lélia Gonzalez, Isildinha, Silvio Almeida, and many others and bring them together in an in-depth study in intersection with psychoanalysis.

Keywords : racism; color prejudice; memory; time; trauma.
