Abstract

RODRIGUES, Heliana de Barros Conde. Dangers and promises of the encounter between group approach and historiography in the psychologists' graduation. Temas psicol. [online]. 1998, vol.6, n.1, pp. 31-44. ISSN 1413-389X.

Taking as starting point the objections to the technical character of the Brazilian psychologists' graduation, coming from several fields of knowledge, this paper examines the use of the group approach historiography as resource for alternative possibilities. Among the dangers of the encounter between group approach and historiography, it highlights the constant presence of the uncritical expertise and of the overstated emphasis on theory in the historiographical rebuildings elaborated by several authors, associated characteristics that would introduce again the criticized technical character in psychologists'graduation. Parallelly, this paper finds promises of original, critic and singular formative ways in some other historiographical works marked by the historical externalism, the transversal approach of the disciplines and the institutional analysis of group work and group therapy.

Keywords : groups; historiography; psychologists'graduation; institutional analysis.
