This paper discusses the problem of the formation of the psychologist in the current context and presents the way that the Psychology course at the Catholic University of Brasilia (UCB) has found to face the specific challenges posed by this context. Some of the paradigms which were revised during the elaboration of the pedagogical project of the course are presented here, as well as how this revision has been debated, discussed and carried out together with the professors and students of the course. One of the reported experiences is the implementation of the Training Center in Applied Psychology, where psychology services are offered. Based on an integrated perspective of the multiplicity of knowledge produced in the psychological field of study and its practical implications, the activities carried out in the Center have been the support for the main teaching activities, research and extension, developed by professors and students in specific areas and/or interfaces.
