Abstract

GOULART, Maria Stella Brandão. Habermas critical theory: dialogs with Social Psychology. Temas psicol. [online]. 2009, vol.17, n.1, pp. 247-259. ISSN 1413-389X.

The article is about one of the several perspectives of the "Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School": the Jürgen Habermas's. It is mentioned the relative lack of knowledge on this philosopher's work, which represents the second generation of the School, in the extent of Social Psychology. It is made a show of the "Theory of Communicative Action" focusing it's main concepts and sources. In this whole are emphasized a model of social organization (divided in three analytical parts) and the duality of rationality (communicative and instrumental) which orients the collective action and the systems. It is concluded indicating some specific contributions of this theory to the Social Psychology and the development of historical studies.
