Abstract

TEIXEIRA, Leônia Cavalcante. The place of literature in the constitution of psychoanalytic clinical practice in Freud. Psyche (Sao Paulo) [online]. 2005, vol.9, n.16, pp. 115-132. ISSN 1415-1138.

The invention of psychoanalysis by Freud can be seen as a creative conjugation of some fundamental factors, of which three can be highlighted: a thorough reflection about all his medical-clinical practice, an intense and unrest work about himself and a constant inspiration coming from contact with and the exploration of the world of art, especially literature. This text deals with the relationship between psychoanalysis and literature starting with the Freudian style, and going through the scientific model of the era and the construction of poetic writing. We will focus, within this text, on the importance of literature to the constitution of the theoretical-clinical framework of psychoanalysis.

Keywords : Literature; Psychoanalysis; Freudien narratitive; Clinical practice; Metapsychology.
