Abstract

CARVALHAES, Flávia Fernandes Fernandes de; PIVETA, Ruth Taina Aparecida  and  VIEIRA, Talita Machado. Interrogate practices, build possibilities: notes for viral times. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.51, pp. 360-375. ISSN 2175-1390.

Since the first news about its incidence, the Covid-19 pandemic has intensified and updated a series of social problems. Given this scenario, this theoretical study problematizes issues that would emerge from experiences and readings of three psychologists linked to the field of Public Policies for Social Assistance in a medium-sized city located in the countryside of the State of Paraná, as well as to Post-Graduate Psychology Programs in the region. Taking the notion of pandemic as a device, this analysis covers a set of narratives that coexist in dispute in this historical time, in addition to locating the relationship between Psychology and Covid-19 posed crisis and their implications. Finally, we emphasize the need, posed by the pandemic, to produce other sensibilities to welcome singularities that manifest themselves in the ways of being and relating in the Global South.

Keywords : Psychology; Pandemic; Device.
