Abstract

PEREZ RODRIGUEZ, José Henrique. Translation quality and cultural development. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2006, vol.8, pp. 37-47. ISSN 1806-5821.

Abstract This work aims to emphasize the relationship between translation quality and cultural development, due to the special projection of the translated discourse on the set of communicative interactions that take place in the community. The characterization of translated discourse as a repertoire that seems to present certain deficiencies if compared to the non-translated discourse, tells us that this discourse can be contributing negatively to the cultural development of the society. The appropriate planning of translation activities would be the solution for this state of things. © Ciências & Cognição 2006; Vol. 08: 37-47.
