The "concretization technique" occupies an important place in the repertoire of techniques used by psychodramatists. However, there has been some disregard concerning the understanding of the affective and cognitive elements based upon the history of human development, which, in turn. are the fundaments of this technique. In this sense, the main aim of this study consists of verifying the intrinsic relationships between the "concretization technique" and human development. It is possible that when investigating the earliest affective-cognitive stage, that is, the sensorimotor period, the crucial elements of this relationship will be found. In addition to that, this paper intends to raise the reader's awareness on the importance of a transdisciplinary methodology for a more complex clinical understanding.
