Abstract

DE GOES BRENNAND, Edna Gusmão  and  BORGES, Leônidas Leão. Multiple intelligences in learning virtual environments: a study of learning objects authored by children. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.3, pp. 126-144. ISSN 1806-5821.

This is about presenting the results of a survey in which enhancement of the emergence of intelligence combinations is found in students between 7-9 years old in the basic education when they interact with contents (images, texts, games, books and music) available in a Learning Virtual Environment developed in the scope of Edilivre Project. The action-research was developed with the participation of teachers and students from the two public schools in the city of Joao Pessoa - PB, software analysts and designers from the Laboratory of Digital Video Applications (LAVID/UFPB). The process involved the implementation of an interactive virtual environment with hypermedia materials authored by these children. The theoretical framework of Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences was used. They analyzed 159 contents, where several combinations involving intelligences, were potentially identified, namely linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal and naturalistic. © Cien.
