AMBIEL, Rodolfo Augusto Matteo; LIMA-COSTA, Ariela Raissa  and  HAUCK FILHO, Nelson. "How is the climate?": Assessment of relations in education. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2021, vol.73, n.2, pp. 100-111. ISSN 1809-5267.  http://dx.doi.org/10.36482/1809-5267.ARBP2021v73i2p.100-111.

The students' perception of the school environment influences their level of involvement and satisfaction with learning. It is important to understand which factors are important so the students feel comfortable in their study environment. This article proposes an instrument to assess educational climate and investigates the relation with satisfaction with the undergraduate course, satisfaction with the institution and self-evaluation of academic performance. A total of 663 college students (M = 22.48 years; SD = 5.45) participated. An exploratory factor analysis with random intercepts indicated a two-factor structure, namely, Relation with professors (RP) and Positive institutional environment (AIP). The association with the external variable was assessed via path analyses, where RP was the best predictor of satisfaction with the undergraduate course and AIP best predictor of self-evaluation of academic performance. It is expected that this study contributes to the understanding of aspects that facilitate the learning process.
